The Vixen Porta II Altazimuth Mount is the big brother of the popular Vixen Mini Porta Altazimuth Mount and is capable of carrying larger and heavier telescopes. Featuring Vixen's friction push/pull easy positioning system, allied to super-accurate wheel sets, for precise slow motion tracking in both axes - the Port II is a joy to use. Up and ready for action in seconds, the Port II is worth serious consideration if you're in the market for a "grab and go" mount. Capable of supporting weightier OTAs up to 9.07kg/20lbs, the Porta II weighs in at just 6.8kg/15lbs and takes the standard Vixen dovetail fitting.

When the Vixen Porta II Altazimuth Mount won The Sky at Night Magazine's group test of Altaz mounts, they found that: "When moving the telescope around the sky with this mount, we found any vibrations quickly dampened down. The whole system was very stable, even when the tripod was at its maximum extended height". With the quality you would expect from a company of Vixen's calibre, the Vixen Porta II will guarantee years of problem-free operation.
