Meade LPI-G Monochrome Camera

Quick Overview

The Meade LPI-G Monochrome Camera delivers 1280x960 resolution for Solar System imaging and a rock solid frame per second rate (buffered for no dropped frames) to ensure maximum efficient use of your imaging time. While not as immediate as its colour sibling - requiring tricolour filtration in order to build colour images - it is more sensitive and has the capability of using all of its 1.2 Mega Pixels per channel if used for tricolour imaging, ultimately leading to sharper, more detailed final images. Like the colour version of of the LPI-G, this camera has a built-in ST-4 protocol port for Autoguiding purposes (PC only), but the Meade Sky Capture imaging software supplied with this camera will work with not just PCs (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10), but also Mac OSX and Linux too - making it a truly universal cross platform system. The Meade LPI-Gs are, of course, also compatible with all the regular favourite control and capture apps, including Sharpcap, Firecapture and Maxim DL.
