The Bresser Junior DigiMicroscope is an ingenious instrument that is a powerful digital microscope and is truly versatile in use, proving once again what a clever bunch of people they are at Bresser. Using the microscope on lower power, without the stand, magnification is possible by carefully hovering above the object (perhaps a coin) and slowly adjusting distance until the item comes into focus. With higher magnification, just slot the microscope into it's stand and the USB power is transferred into the base mounted LED light for brilliant underside illumination of slides, etc.
