Many of us here, at Telescope House, are not fond of zoom binoculars. Whilst we appreciate that there is always the desire to own one pair of binoculars that can be the "Jack-of-all-trades" every choice must be, by necessity, a compromise. The Bresser Hunter 8-24x50 Zoom Binoculars are one of the few exceptions. We accept that the light gathering power is not as good as the comparable Porro Prism binoculars. We also accept that to fully appreciate this powerful Zoom magnification you will really need a tripod or other stable support, but still, they are fun to use!
