NGC 7000

NGC 7000

A rich colourful image taken from Edenbridge in Kent of NGC7000 The North America Nebula, which is large, covering an area of more than four times the size of the full moon, but its surface brightness is low so normally it cannot be seen with the unaided eye.

This image was taken through the Revelation 90mm Apo refractor with an exposure duration of 60 minutes

PST Solar Image

PST Solar Image

This is one of three stunning images that were taken through a Double Stacked PST by John Bush from the South Coast of England between the 11th January and the 19th February 2012. Using a DMK mono camera and compiling a mosaic of several frames, John was able to demonstrate his considerable mastery of Solar imaging and post-processing - particularly with such a comparatively small instrument and at a time when the Sun is not particularly favourably placed (in the case of this image, partially obscured by trees). Keep them coming John!
