Observatory evenings in association with Starborough Manor will be delayed until all relocation work is complete.
Telescope House has been involved with astronomy in the UK for over two hundred years, as a company we are now proud to be in a position to offer a practical solution to sharing the night sky.
In the early nineties a long standing customer of ours embarked on an ambitious project to have built the largest instrument possible and then ship it to the Australian outback to observe the heavens. This project now complete has allowed us to secure this very instrument for a similar project here in Southern England.
We are currently planning a major relocation of our business to the rural Surrey / Kent borders to the aptly named Starborough Farm Observatory, this location offers pristine skies as well as easy access by road for visitors and customers. Our complete business operation will be located on the new premises in October .
The first telescope to be comissioned at the observatory is the well travelled 34" F4 Reflector mentioned above which will offer stunning views of the night sky. This large telescope is expected to see first light in late 2009, details will follow soon.
Other instruments are planned for the observatory such as robotic imaging telescopes as well as practical demonstration models selected from the wide range of instruments we sell.
We can confirm that from mid October 2009 we will be relocating to Starborough Farm:
